Generating Win-Wins
Since 1985, we’ve delivered more than
$31 billion back to the Province of B.C. to support communities, provincial programs and services, charities and major events.
In 2025/26, $1.3 billion in net income was generated by BCLC for the Province of B.C.
BCLC's Economic Impact in B.C.
BCLC’s total operations generated $3.9 billion in total economic output and supported more than 14,400 full‑time equivalent jobs across the province. These impacts include direct, indirect and induced benefits created through BCLC’s purchase of goods and services, labour income, and the broader economic activity stimulated by its operations.
Plus, $12.9 m was distributed to the Government of Canada.

Where the Money Goes
Our net profits are invested in vital public programs that help connect people to each other and to their communities – building a stronger, more connected B.C.

Polson Park Revitalization Project | Host Local Government funds
Elements Casino Chilliwack contributed over $100,000 directly to community organizations, including Chilliwack Bowls of Hope, the Chilliwack Hospice Hoedown, the Rotary Christmas Parade and more. Additional support was provided to the Pacific Autism Family Centre, Chilliwack Hospital Foundation, Ann Davis Transition Society, Community Angels Food and Housing Support Society and Ruth & Naomi’s Mission.

Chances Castlegar supported a range of community organizations and events through sponsorships and community contributions. These included the Trail Smoke Eaters, Castlegar Rebels, the Salmo Youth Community Centre, Salmo Library, the Castlegar Sculpturewalk Harvest Food Bank, Greater Trail Hospice Society and the West Kootenay Toy Run.

Parq Casino
Parq Casino supported several community organizations through partnerships and donations. Notable partners included the YWCA Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Chinatown Foundation, Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and the Dr. Peter Centre. Parq has funded over 5,000 meals for food insecure individuals and repurposed over 2,500 items of clothing, textile and technology destined for landfill.
Chances Dawson Creek made community contributions supporting South Peace Community Resources, Outlines for Life, Step Up & Ride, Networks Ministries, Nawican Friendship Centre, Dawson Creek Art Gallery and South Peace Emergency Response Team. Team members also led two fundraisers through their Staff Action Committee and organized in-kind donations of food and toys for the DC Charity Society.

Chapter 03
You Play, Community Benefits
B.C.’s 36 casinos in 33 communities bring people together through games, dining and live entertainment. These venues also give back — Municipal and First Nations governments hosting a facility typically receive 10% of net gambling income to support local programs, initiatives and infrastructure improvements.
The City of Fort St. John used its share of provincial gambling revenue to support recreation facilities and community events that promote active living and strengthen community connections. These included the CKNL Tradeshow, long track speed skating championships, hundreds of minor hockey games and thousands of drop-in ice skating sessions.

The City of Richmond received a total of $11.32 million in gambling revenue. These funds were allocated to a variety of community initiatives and infrastructure projects, including $6.4 million applied to the Steveston Community Centre and Library construction loan and $2.875 million allocated to a variety of community grants.

The City of Port Alberni allocated $450,000 from its share of provincial gambling revenue to support economic development, cultural programs and community initiatives. The largest investments included: $172,770 for the operations of McLean Mill National Historic Site, a national heritage site with industrial and cultural significance and $33,200 for the Community Investment Plan/Grants in Aid, which funded a range of local events and programs.

To help celebrate our 40th year, we launched the Greater Good Giveaway Scratch & Win ticket where 40 Top Prize winners could win $10,000 for themselves – plus an additional $10,000 for a registered B.C. charity of their choice.

Additional PROLINE Sportsbook Lounges opened at Chances Fort St. John and Chances Terrace. Wall-to-wall screens help provide an incredible immersive and exciting sports-betting experience while local GameSense Advisors help support players in real-time.
Record-breaking $80 million
We had the pleasure of presenting an $80-million cheque for a Lotto Max prize, the largest prize ever won in B.C! At the time, this was the largest lottery prize ever won by a single individual in Canada.

We released our first-ever Encore Rewards app! We are excited to build stronger relationships with our players through our personalized offers, player health messaging and much more.
New Games
We launched more than 180 new casino games on PlayNow last year and expanded our Live Casino with more live dealer tables and the addition of six new game studios.
We launched our first Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan, through a cross-organizational effort that was undertaken in partnership with internal teams and external collaborators. As part of this work, we sought to engage with First Nations Host Local Governments and those in which whose traditional territories our corporate offices are located.
A Strong Showcase
The second annual Indigenous Vendors Showcase helped build stronger connections between Indigenous-owned businesses and local buyers across the Kamloops community.
Reconciliation Through Procurement
BCLC’s new Indigenous Procurement Policy is helping create equitable access for Indigenous-owned business to participate in BCLC’s procurement processes.

Living Our Purpose
For the last 40 years, BCLC has brought people together through shared moments of entertainment and community. This year we took it step further and launched the BCLC Human Connection Project.
Championing Human Connection
As part of this social purpose-driven project, BCLC is finding new ways to embed opportunities for human connection across the organization, including in its partnerships, community initiatives and employee programs.
Bringing Communities Together
BCLC has brought people together through a series of community-focused events, including the inaugural Kamloops Christmas Market, designed to foster belonging, strengthen relationships and create opportunities for meaningful connection.
Nourishing the Neighbourhood
We once again collaborated with Canucks Sports and Entertainment on Nourish the Neighbourhood: Community Connect, an uplifting afternoon of connecting with and providing nourishing meals to over 1,000 members of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside community.
The BCLC Backyard
As a founding partner of the new Freedom Mobile Arch – a new state of the art outdoor entertainment venue at Hastings Park in Vancouver, we will be inviting concert goers to our new BCLC Backyard, an open-air section at the venue. We hope to see you at an event soon!
We implemented tools and standards to monitor and improve the accessibility of our online platforms, helping provide a more inclusive experience for players and employees.
We improved our physical spaces, including upgrades to facilities and emergency systems to enhance safety and accessibility.

We also introduced a new accessible brand, supporting more inclusive, readable and consistent communications across our platforms and products.

Our provincewide team of GameSense Advisors (GSA) are available in-person at all 36 casinos and virtually and help support safer play and positive experiences by connecting with players in real-time.
With guidance from the respective Indigenous language communities, GameSense brochures are now available in Chinook Jargon and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim (Squamish language), with more Indigenous languages translations on the way.
We helped develop and launch the first ever GameSense Innovation Award to recognize and celebrate the most creative, impactful and original GameSense-branded initiative of the year.

Meeting Players Where They Are At
We continue to strive to create a player health culture that meets players where they are at and provides the right tools, support and education, no matter where they are on their journey.
This year, three of our executive team members spent a day at a local casino to take part in a 'GSA for a Day' program, including our Chief Operating Officer Dan Beebe.

Commitment to Climate Accountability
We continue to work to create positive environmental impact for communities across B.C. and beyond, through initiatives outlined in our Climate Change Strategy.
Green4Good
Moving to the Cloud
BCLC is working with Green4Good to keep old IT equipment out of landfills and together we have securely processed more than 10,000 IT devices and kept 74 metric tonnes of equipment out of landfills.
As part of our work with CloudBC, BCLC has removed 67% of its overall infrastructure footprint from its Kamloops headquarters datacentre – a $8.3 million reduction in technology that we no longer have to reinvest in, operate or maintain.
